Bret Crumpton, DO

Dr. Crumpton is a Board certified ophthalmologist, specializing in the surgical and medical treatment of glaucoma and anterior segment surgery (iris and cataract).

As a fellowship trained glaucoma surgeon, Dr. Crumpton received advanced training in glaucoma filtration surgery using antimetabolites (these aid in the success of surgery for appropriate candidates), glaucoma tube shunt surgery, glaucoma laser surgery and cataract surgery. As a glaucoma fellow, he performed research in the use of antimetabolites and wound healing in glaucoma surgery.

Dr Crumpton and his family participated in an eye mission trip to underserved, rural Jamaica, to perform cataract surgery for those in great need of eye care. Church involvement and service remain a priority for Dr. Crumpton, where he leads a Community Group and serves on the Board of his church.

Dr. Crumpton enjoys living in Columbus with his wife Joy, and their four children, Joshua, Jocelyn, Johannah and Janelle. Together, they take pleasure in family, church and school activities; soccer, SCUBA diving and water sports.
