Overview
For more than 60 years, West Georgia Eye Care Center has been serving the Columbus community with exceptional eye care. Dr. Floyd C. Jarrell, Jr. established the practice in 1951 as a solo practice. The clinic has since grown to the area’s only multispecialty practice, to include nine ophthalmologists, one optometrist and a staff of over 65 professionals.
Among the subspecialty care represented in our practice include fellowship trained physicians in cornea and refractive surgery, glaucoma and anterior segment, retina, and oculoplastic and reconstruction surgery.
West Georgia physicians are passionate about the health of your eyes and the success of your surgery. They continue to stay up to date with the latest technology and advancements in eye care. In keeping with their goal of providing superior eye care, the physicians of West Georgia Eye Care Center were the first to perform Clear Lens Exchange in Columbus. Our clinic also contains a state of the art Laser Vision Center where our ophthalmologists perform all of the LASIK and refractive procedures.
Included on-site is a surgical suite which allows our physicians to perform minor surgical procedures in the office. West Georgia Eye Care Center is conveniently located on Warm Springs Road.
Patients may be seen Monday thru Friday 8:30 am-5:30 pm and 8:30am-1:00 pm on Saturdays.
Physicians rotate these Saturday hours to accommodate patients who may not be able to be seen during traditional working hours.
