Practice Profile:
For over 50 years, West Georgia Eye Care Center has been serving the Columbus community with exceptional eye care. Dr. Floyd C. Jarrell, Jr. established the practice in 1951 as a solo practice. The clinic has since grown to the area’s only multispecialty practice, to include eight ophthalmologists, two optometrists and a staff of over 65 people. Among the subspecialties represented in the practice are a fellowship trained cornea and refractive surgeon, a fellowship trained glaucoma specialist, a fellowship trained oculoplastic and reconstructive surgeon.
West Georgia physicians are passionate about the health of your eyes and the success of your surgery. They continue to stay up to date with the latest technology and advancements in eye care. In keeping with their goal of providing superior eye care, the physicians of West Georgia Eye Care Center were the first to perform Clear Lens Exchange in Columbus.
The clinic also contains a state of the art Laser Vision Center where their ophthalmologists perform all of the LASIK and refractive procedures. Included on site is a surgical suite, as well; it allows the physicians to perform minor surgical procedures in the office.
West Georgia Eye Care Center is conveniently located on Warm Springs Road. Patients are seen Monday thru Friday 8:30am-5:30pm and 8:30am-1:00pm on Saturdays. Physicians rotate these Saturday hours to accommodate patients who may not be able to be seen during traditional working hours.
