Low Vision Services
Over three million people in the United States do not have normal vision even with corrective lenses. If ordinary eyeglasses do not provide clear vision, one is said to have low vision. This should not be confused with blindness. People with low vision still have useful vision that can often be improved with low-vision devices.
The skilled staff at West Georgia Eye Care Center is prepared to help you get the most out of the vision you do have with the help of these devices. We also have a dedicated low vision clinic to determine what approach would be best for you. Before you buy an expensive vision aid, schedule an appointment with our low vision team.
West Georgia Eye Care Center offers a Low Vision Support Group. The meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month at 9:30 AM at the main office. Persons with eye disorders causing vision loss will receive group encouragement and information on new treatments, low vision assistive devices and research on eye diseases in a casual and friendly forum.
